The world has only recently started to really notice that there are a limited amount of resources available and it has developed a whole new corporate outlook. This new outlook comes with a variety of problems, solutions, and attitudes. By focusing our efforts to provide new and innovative solutions to the challenges that arise, more people will become cognizant and partake in social responsibility.
With the emergence of the Internet and social media, social responsibility has catapulted into the eyes of the many. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is just one realm of social entrepreneurship, but within this domain there are many strategies to become more efficient and more aware of what can and needs to be accomplished.
Why does all this matter?
CSR isn’t a fad, it’s not a marketing scheme, and it’s not going away (unless of course we find a new supply of resources and energy). A company will benefit in one way or another from CSR strategies. And that’s exactly what I’m here to discuss: strategies that work the best, challenges that may arise, how to employ these tactics to get the best utility from them, and most importantly why and how it helps a corporation while helping others. Not only will this provide positive externalities, but business will become more profitable and sustainable for a greater competitive advantage.
Social entrepreneurship goes beyond the corporation, but because of the size of today’s business has the ability to make the greatest impact. Their ability to influence the most people not only gets the word out, but helps sustain and continue the movement to create a better world, greater awareness and a more profitable corporation. Aside from the topics mentioned above I will discuss new issues and strategies that arise, companies that are influencers, readings to consider, and how this all will affect the almighty triple bottom line (3BL).
So, if you’re ready to discover new and inventive ways to create sustainable and impactful business or if you want to join aid in improving strategies currently in use, this is the place.
I encourage your suggestions and comments to help me incorporate better content and higher quality of discussion.
